Questions people ask before booking an Edit hotel

Does my hotel count for the Edit credit?

Only hotels in The Edit, booked through Chase Travel as a prepaid stay of two nights or more. Search the Edit hotel list: we check it against two independent lists every night, with each hotel’s typical Chase Travel rate.

Can I use both $250 credits on one stay?

Not two Edit credits: it’s one per booking. But 177 hotels are also in Chase’s 2026 select-hotel program (IHG, Montage, Pendry, Omni, Virgin, Minor and Pan Pacific), and there an Edit credit and the select-hotel credit stack on one prepaid stay of two nights or more, for up to $500 off. When do the credits run out?

The two Edit credits reset every calendar year, so this year’s pair expires December 31. The select-hotel credit is a one-off for 2026 and ends December 31, 2026.

Is Chase Travel more expensive than booking direct?

Often, by around 10 to 20 percent for the same room. Compare before you prepay so the credit is a real discount, and if the stay turns up cheaper after you book, the Chase Travel price match can refund the difference.

When does the statement credit show up?

Usually within a few days of the charge, though Chase says it can take a billing cycle or two. It only posts for prepaid Chase Travel bookings, and Chase can take it back if you cancel or change the stay.

Does the Sapphire Reserve for Business work the same way?

It has an Edit credit and the 2026 select-hotel credit too. Starting January 1, 2027, its Edit credit doubles to $1,000 a year, as four $250 credits for stays of two nights or more. Chase hasn’t announced that change for the personal card. The perks guide has the details.
