Key takeaways

  • Chase added 32 restaurants to the Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables collection between September 26 and October 1, 2026, and removed three. The collection now has 436.
  • New York City gained eight, and seven of them are Quality Branded restaurants. Nine of the 32 additions come from that one group.
  • Austin lost Clark’s Oyster Bar, Jeffrey’s and Perla’s, and is down to 11 restaurants. No other city lost one.
  • Big tasting-menu names joined, including Providence, Birdsong, The Catbird Seat and schwa. At most of the a la carte newcomers, one $150 half-year credit still covers dinner for one.
  • 24 of the 32 new restaurants are within about two miles of a Chase Edit hotel, so pairing the two credits on one trip is easy in most of these cities.

What changed

Good news this time: Chase added 32 restaurants to the Exclusive Tables collection and took away only three. That’s a net gain of 29, which brings the collection to 436 restaurants. Thirty of the additions showed up on October 1, 2026. Lady Delilah in New York and Corner Office in Taos joined a few days earlier, on September 26.

New York City gained the most, eight restaurants, and seven of them come from one restaurant group, Quality Branded: Bad Roman, Limusina, Quality Bistro, Quality Italian, Quality Meats, Twin Tails and Zou Zou’s. Add the group’s Bad Roman in Beverly Hills and Quality Italian in Denver, and nine of the 32 newcomers are Quality Branded restaurants. Lady Delilah is the eighth New York addition.

Outside New York, the list picked up some serious special-occasion restaurants: Providence in Los Angeles, Birdsong in San Francisco, The Catbird Seat in Nashville, schwa in Chicago, Kōsen in Tampa, and Elcielo in both Miami and Washington DC. Phoenix got two restaurants at one address, Christopher’s and Geordie’s at the Wrigley Mansion. Los Angeles, Chicago, Nashville and Phoenix each added two, and 16 other cities added one apiece.

Austin is the only city that lost anything. Clark’s Oyster Bar, Jeffrey’s and Perla’s Seafood and Oyster Bar have left the collection, which leaves Austin with 11 restaurants. If you already had a table booked at one of them, don’t panic: Chase told Thrifty Traveler that a reservation made before a removal still earns the credit for up to 60 days.

This is the third change this year, after the July 7 update and the August 28 update.

How the credit works: the Sapphire Reserve gets up to $150 from January to June and up to $150 from July to December at Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables restaurants, applied automatically when you pay with the card. New to it? Start with the dining credit guide.

3 restaurants removed

Removed means the restaurant has left the Exclusive Tables collection, and new meals there no longer trigger the credit. Chase told Thrifty Traveler that a reservation made before a removal still earns the credit for up to 60 days afterwards.

What the new restaurants cost

We read each new restaurant’s own dinner menu to see what a meal costs one person: food only, before drinks, tax and tip. At 18 of the 22 we could price, a typical dinner for one comes to $150 or less, so a single half-year credit covers it. Order from the lower end of the menu and two people can eat on one credit at Anjin, The Patterson House, Belly of the Beast, Bad Roman, Quality Italian or Zou Zou’s.

The tasting menus are a different story. Providence’s classic menu is $375 a person and Birdsong’s weeknight menu is $290, so there the credit pays for part of one dinner rather than the whole thing. That can still be a lovely way to use it, as long as you know going in!

Prices are from each restaurant’s own menu in early October 2026, and menus change often. 24 of the 32 new restaurants are within about two miles of a Chase Edit hotel. All 436 Exclusive Tables restaurants, with menus and prices, are on our Sapphire Reserve restaurant list. For the whole list, see where $150 covers dinner for two and what every tasting menu costs.

Check a restaurant before you book

The roster moves more often than most people expect, and a restaurant that counted on your last visit may not count on the next. Before a dinner you are planning around the credit:

  1. Look it up in the collection. OpenTable keeps the official list at opentable.com/sapphire-reserve-exclusive-tables; a restaurant simply being on OpenTable is not enough.
  2. Check the date of the last change. If a roster update landed since you last looked, the restaurant may have moved on or off.
  3. Pay with the Sapphire Reserve, directly with the restaurant rather than through a delivery app or payment service. The credit follows the card charge, not the reservation.

Planning around the new list

If a city just gained restaurants, pairing a dinner there with a stay at one of the Chase Edit hotels and tickets bought with the Sapphire Reserve StubHub credit puts three of the card’s credits on one trip. The dining credit guide shows where Exclusive Tables restaurants and Edit hotels overlap most, and every Edit hotel’s page lists the Exclusive Tables restaurants within 3 km of it.

Questions

Which restaurants were added to the Sapphire Reserve dining credit in October 2026?

32 in all, listed by city above. New York City got eight (Bad Roman, Lady Delilah, Limusina, Quality Bistro, Quality Italian, Quality Meats, Twin Tails and Zou Zou’s), and the rest are spread across 20 other cities, from Anjin in Kansas City to Wildweed in Cincinnati.

Which restaurants were removed?

Three, all in Austin: Clark’s Oyster Bar, Jeffrey’s and Perla’s Seafood and Oyster Bar. No other city lost a restaurant in this update.

How many restaurants are in the Exclusive Tables collection now?

436 after the October 1, 2026 update. Chase’s own benefits page still says “over 275,” a number from the program’s launch.

Does a reservation made before a restaurant was removed still count?

For a while. Chase told Thrifty Traveler that a reservation made before a restaurant was removed still earns the credit for up to 60 days after the removal. Walk-ins and bookings made after the change do not.

How often does Chase change the dining credit list?

Three times in 2026 so far: a big update on July 7, another on August 28 and this one on October 1, with two restaurants added a few days early on September 26. None of them were announced ahead of time, so it’s worth checking the collection before a dinner you’re counting on.
